Procurement Manager

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing our daily procurement activities, supporting strategic initiatives, and efficiently managing operational procurement tasks for our European business. As part of your work, you’ll be working in multi-disciplinary teams with partners from across the internal supply chain, communicating with global suppliers, and playing an integral part in enabling the delivering of medicines to patients on-time.  

For this position, it is important to be based on site at our facility in the Netherlands, a valid work visa is required. A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree is also a requirement for this role. 

Your responsibilities include  
As a Procurement Manager at our organization, you will be integral to the efficient and effective management of our procurement processes. Your role will encompass various critical functions to ensure that our procurement activities are streamlined and aligned with organizational goals.  Your main responsibilities include:

Procurement Management: 

• Execute day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing 

• Manage direct procurement requests and coordinate with internal teams to clarify requirements.  

• Manage disposition of obsolete materials and slow-moving inventory.

Supplier Management: 

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and conduct performance evaluations. 

• Document & manage material specifications per supplier 

• Identify and onboard new suppliers based on business needs. 

• Assist in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions and in the negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.

Compliance and Process Improvement: 

• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards. 

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement function efficiency. 

Reporting and Analytics: 

• Prepare and present reports on procurement metrics and utilize data to assess procurement strategies.

You’ll become part of the Finance department and will report to the Director of Global Procurement and Business Controller. Your role will involve working with different departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination across the organization.
